What is EMDR?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy designed to help individuals process and heal from trauma, anxiety, and other distressing experiences. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation—such as guided eye movements, tapping, or auditory tones—to help the brain reprocess traumatic memories, and reduce their emotional intensity and negative impact.
During an EMDR session, you’ll recall a distressing memory while engaging in bilateral stimulation, allowing your brain to integrate the past traumatic experience in a healthier way. Over time, the memory becomes less overwhelming, and negative beliefs associated with it are replaced with more adaptive, empowering perspectives. EMDR has been proven effective for PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other trauma-related symptoms, helping individuals find relief and regain a sense of control over their lives.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a powerful, evidence-based therapy that helps individuals understand and heal the different parts of themselves. IFS is based on the idea that our minds are made up of various “parts,” each with its own thoughts, emotions, and roles. Some parts may carry pain or trauma, while others act as protectors, often leading to internal conflict.
Through IFS, you’ll learn to recognize and compassionately engage with these parts, allowing for deep healing and greater self-awareness. The goal is to access your "Self"—the core, confident, and compassionate part of you—so you can lead with clarity and balance. IFS is especially effective for trauma, anxiety, depression, and emotional regulation, helping individuals build inner harmony and resilience.
