FEES

My fee for individual therapy is $250 for a standard 45-minute session and $300 for the initial 60-minute intake appointment.

I strive to provide high-quality, personalized therapy to support your growth and well-being. To ensure that my services meet your needs, I offer a free consultation where we can discuss your goals, my approach, and any questions you may have—including fee information and payment options. Please feel free to reach out to schedule your free consultation. I’d love to connect with you!

INSURANCE

While I am not in-network with any insurance plans, I will work with you to determine your out-of-network benefits and provide you with all the necessary paperwork to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement or use for your FSA/HSA account.

OUT OF NETWORK BENEFIT DETERMINATION

We encourage you to call your insurance company and ask the following questions:

  • Do I have out-of-network coverage for outpatient behavioral health?
  • What is my deductible and how much of it has been met?
  • What is the reimbursement rate for a therapy session, using the following codes:
    • 90834 for 45-minute session
    • 90837 for 60-minute session
    • Do I need preauthorization?
  • Are there any limits to reimbursement? For example, a maximum amount reimbursed per session, or a limit on the number of sessions allowed.

MENTAYA

I’ve also partnered with Mentaya, an optional service that streamlines getting clients reimbursed for their therapy sessions through out-of-network benefits.

Mentaya may be right for you:

  • Have out-of-network benefits
  • Feel overwhelmed by superbills and insurance
  • Have submitted superbills but failed to get any reimbursement
  • Simply want to skip the hassle of paperwork

Here’s how it works:

  1. Sign up for Mentaya: mentaya.com/c/amykesslerlcsw
  2. My practice will enter your sessions into the platform.
  3. Mentaya submits the claim and handles any insurance follow-up.
  4. You get reimbursed by insurance!

Mentaya charges a 5% fee per claim, which includes handling any paperwork required, dealing with denials, and calling insurance companies.

Note: Mentaya's goal is to save you time and money. It's completely optional, and as your therapist, I would not benefit in any way from your participation.

  • You are entitled to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges before you begin services if you are uninsured or choose to self-pay.
  • The estimate will outline the cost of therapy sessions and any other anticipated charges.
  • If your final bill is at least $400 more than the estimate, you have the right to dispute the charges.
